Description

Musa zebrina 'Rojo' is a banana that is mainly used for it's ornamental qualities as opposed to the fruit, which is seedy and inedible. Known as Blood Banana because of the red splotches on the top side of the leaf and the solid red undersides. This banana can grow 6-8 feet tall with an equal spread. Great for the garden as well as containers. In cooler climates Musa zebrina 'Rojo' can be used as an annual to give a great tropical look to the garden.
