Description

Salvia x sylvestris 'May Night' will put on a color show all summer with fuzzy dark purple colored flower spikes. To extend the bloom just cut back. May Night Sage can get 18-36" tall and 24" wide at maturity. This is a great plant to attract birds and bees into the garden. Foliage is rough textured and aromatic. This plant can tolerate drought and requires good drainage. Space 18-24" at planting. This was the 1997 PPA Perennial Plant of the Year! Salvia x sylvestris 'May Night' is part of our Plants For Texas® Program, meaning it was Texas Grown, Tested in Texas to perform outstanding for Texas Gardens.
