Description

Rudbeckia hirta 'Autumn Colors' is just that a great mix of autumn colors, from red to yellow to bronze and all colors in between. With all the mix in colors this variety puts on a vivid display and will look great next to pure yellow varieties such as 'Prarie Sun' and 'Indian Summer'. The flowers will get up to 5" in diameter with the plant itself only getting 20-24" tall. 'Autumn Colors' like most Rudbeckias will bloom in the summer, the bloom time can be extended by removing spent blooms. For a great fall garden plant next to ornamental grasses such as the Pennisetum spp. or mix it up in a container garden with some Carex 'Toffee Twist'. Rudbeckia hirta 'Autumn Colors' was bred by Ernst Benary Samenzucht and is the winner of the Fleuroselect Quality Award.
