Description These tuft-forming plants usually have leaf blades that are flat. They are usually grown for their flower clusters (plumes) that appear in summer to fall and can be used in flower arrangements both fresh and dried. Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Cassian' is a newer dwarf cultivar with a bright fall color, foliage gets up to 1-2 feet in height. Hardiness: USDA Zones 6-9
