Description Mondo Grass is native to Korea and Japan. It has a fairly low growing habit and the leaves are somewhat finer on this species than other species. The flowers are hidden and insignificant, thus the plant is grown for its foliage and groundcover effect. Total height of Ophiopogon japonicus 'Nana' is only 3 inches and dark green in color. It makes an excellent filler between walkways and stepping stones. Dwarf Mondo Grass needs to be grown in partial shade to shady conditions. Hardiness: USDA Zones
