| Lagerstroemia x ![]() |
Description Lagerstroemia x 'Muskogee' is a hybrid that was introduced in 1978 and was bred for better resistance to powdery mildew, which is a big problem for most cultivars. This tree puts out 6-12 inch long bloom spikes that are lavender to pink in color. Bloom time can last between 110-120 days. In the fall the leaves change to a nice combination of reds and orange before dropping. Muskogee Crapemyrtle can reach 20-25' in height with a 15-25' spread at maturity. The bark is gray in color and exfoliates to a light gray-brown. 'Muskogee' prefers rich moist soil but can tolerate clay and alkaline soils. Hardiness: USDA Zones
