Description Hydrangea macrophylla 'Variegata' has lacecap flowers meaning that the middle flowers in the arrangement are small and fertile and are surrounded by larger white infertile flowers. The small fertile flowers will be blue if on an acidic soil and pink if on a alkaline soil. Variegated Lacecap Hydrangea is grown mostly for the striking variegated foliage and can get up to 3' in height. Hardiness: USDA Zones 6 - 9
