Description Echinacea purpurea x paradoxa 'Art's Pride' P.P.# 15090 is a new version of the standard purple coneflower from Dr. Jim Ault of the Chicago Botanic Garden. Orange Meadowbrite™ is a result of crossing E. purpurea 'Alba' and E. paradoxa. This was the first orange coneflower ever available! The flowers are a beautiful tangerine-orange color, bringing vibrancy into the garden spring through fall. The giant 4" flower is not only good looking but it is great smelling with an intensely sweet fragrance. Orange Meadowbrite™ Coneflower is very adaptable to heat, humidity, and cold as well as drought tolerant, be sure to keep in a well-drained soil though. 2-3' x 2-3' with a 30" flower spike. A favorite of butterflies and bees, producing an fragrance similar to orange spiced tea. For more information see www.chicagolandgrows.org . Hardiness: USDA Zones
