Description

Cymbopogon citratus is a tropical clumping grass from Malaysia, India and Asia that can reach 6 feet tall with a 4 foot spread. With its blue green color and strap like leaves it makes a nice statement in any garden. Lemon Grass of course is more known for its fragrance and flavor. It is commonly used in lemon tea, asian cooking and the oil has been used as a fragrance for perfume. A close relative to Lemon Grass is used as the bug repellent we all know as Citronella, Cymbopogon nardus.
