Carex phyllocephala 'Sparkler' - Sparkler Carex

Description

Carex phyllocephala 'Sparkler' is a clump forming, evergreen sedge native to Japan and will thrive in moist rich soils. This grass-like perennial produces slender stems topped with a crown of whirling narrow variegated leaves, resembling a sparkler, hence the common name. Sparkler Carex can reach 1-2 feet in height and is a great addition to brighten up that shady spot in the garden.
