Description A native to New Zealand, Carex flagellifera is an evergreen perennial grass that has a dense clumping growth habit. The foliage is a mahogany color with green and red hues, giving this grass a dried look when it is actually actively growing, another great grass, along with Leatherleaf Sedge, for fall arrangements! Great in the landscape as a specimen or massed, in rock gardens, near water gardens, and in container gardens. Works particularly well in fall themed mixed containers. Carex flagellifera 'Bronzita'™ is in the ColorGrass® Program can reach 10-12" tall with a 18-24" spread and should be spaced every 18-24". Does best in a moist well-drained soil.
