| Callirhoe involucrata

Description Callirhoe involucrata is a low growing perennial with turnip or carrot-like taproots, thus making this plant more drought tolerant. The deeply lobed, green leaves on this Texas Native form a rosette that reaches only 6-12" in height and 2-3 feet in width. In the Spring Wine Cups sends out long stems of flowers from February until June. The blooms are wine colored with a bright white spot at the base of the petals, the flowers measure 2" in diameter. The flowers will open in the morning and close in the evening, once they are pollinated they will remain closed. Hardiness: USDA Zones
