Description

Agave americana is a monocarpic (dies after blooming) succulent that forms a basal rosette of thick spiny grey-green leaves, often 6' long. The flower stalk is branched and can reach 20'-40' tall with yellow green flowers. Century Plant is known as such because it is thought they only bloom once a century then die.
